Detailed Description

Radon gas in the air of living quarters (more then 200 Bk/m3) can cause cancer cells growth and leukemia. Radon represents the greatest danger for children, because of the lower resistibility of child's organism.  This is why parents should pay special attention to places where children play, sleep and live.
Radon gas - an inert heavy gas (7.5 times heavier than air), has no odor, no color, and detected only by special devices. Radon gas can be detected in indoor air, in building construction materials (granite, pumice, expanded clay, brick red clay), in water and natural gas (used for heating and cooking). In the open space radon is not dangerous. While indoors, mostly on the lower floors, if it is not being ventilated properly, the gas is accumulated. Inhalation of air containing radon irradiates cells of the respiratory organs. 
 
Radon gas counter MR-106N assesses the Equivalent Equilibrium Volumetric Activity (EEVA) of Radon-222 in the air of living quaters and public buildings. Activity of radon is determined by the number of registered alpha-particle decay of Ro218 (RaA) and Ro214 (RaC'). MR-106N continuously assesses the EEVA, analyzes the EEVA alteration dynamics and determines the EEVA average.  
Radon gas counter MR-106N is a household handheld portable device with an independent and external power supply.
